All Arriva services will be revised as from Sunday 9th August.     Those affecting Leigh.

Shoppers Service 6a: Leigh Station - Leigh Church/Rectory Grove – Elm Road –Station Road/Cranleigh Drive – Elmsleigh Drive – Woodcutters; Tuesdays and Thursdays; ½ hourly 1010 to 1410;

This service completely withdrawn; last day of operation Thursday 6th August.

Commencing on Friday 21st August a partial replacement will be supplied by Stephensons new Service 23 on Tuesdays and Fridays.    The route will be as Service 6a between Leigh Station and Woodcutters.     It will then be extended to serve two stops in the Fairway and two stops in Eastwood Old Road, the terminus being Belgrave Road.

 Shoppers Service 18: Leigh Station – Woodcutters (as Service 6a) – Kent Elms Corner – Westcliff Tesco Store – Ashingdon – Hockley; Fridays 3 journeys in each direction.

This service completely withdrawn; last day of operation Friday 7th August; no replacement of this service.

The above changes will affect bus passengers north of London Road, particularly those in the Elmsleigh Drive, Blenheim Chase and North Leigh areas.

Service 1; Southend – London Road – Elms – Hadleigh – Thundersley – Rayleigh; revised timings PLUS on Sundays most daytime journeys being extended east of Southend (as on Mondays to Saturdays) to Southchurch, Thorpe bay and Shoebury.

Service 5; Southend – Leigh Road – Broadway – Rectory Grove – Hadleigh Road – Hadleigh – Thundersley – Pitsea – Basildon; revised timings with several journeys operating a few minutes earlier.

Free Home Fire Safety Visits

Essex County Fire and Rescue Service are offering free Home Fire Safety advice, including the installation of Free smoke alarms where needed, to all of your community.

All your residents have to do is to book a visit from one of our highly trained Technicians, using the contact details on the attachment.

Our ultimate goal is to make the residents of Essex safe in their homes, so we are hoping that we can rely on your support as Parish Councils to promote the service being offered.
