Throughout the pandemic we have tried our best to keep in touch with members of our Community Transport Scheme, we have helped with doing their shopping or picking up prescriptions and kept in regular contact with a friendly phone call. With things looking like they might still be the same for a while, we've thought about what more we could offer to those who may be vulnerable or socially isolated.
Therefore we have produced our new "Keeping in Touch" magazine for our Community Transport members. A paper copy was posted out last week, but we have also made this available to view on our website.
If you or anyone you know would like to join the scheme, then please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Obviously we are unable to run any trips, but we can provide our monthly magazine and regular chats on the phone for the time being.
Membership is free, but the person would need to live within the Leigh Town Council Boundary.
