Leigh-on-Sea Town Council have provided a festive lighting display in Leigh Library Gardens for our young (and young at heart) residents to enjoy.
The display includes a Santa's postbox for children to post their letters. The elves at the Council will then arrange a reply, so please remember to leave a return address! To ensure time to reply, last postal date 16th December.
This is the first time the council have arranged the display as an alternative to Leigh Lights, which was unfortunately cancelled due to covid.
In addition, the commmunity has really worked to make the gardens look lovely and festive with Friends of Leigh Library Gardens and Create 98 providing additional decorations around the park and a local resident renting his land to fairies, which can be seen behind the railings at the bottom of the gardens - near the Council display.
The council have taken precautions to protect the display but please do help us keep them safe so that they can continue to enjoyed.
Please note the gardens are locked at 6pm Thursday - Sunday and 7pm Friday and Saturday. The bottom date is locked at 4pm everyday. The display will be removed on the 21st December.
The council would also like to thank BTMK for providing power for the display!
