Youth Question Time Event

Leigh-on-Sea Town Council is pleased to be organising their first Youth Question Time event as part of their monthly Youth Forum group run by Councillor Anita Forde.

The event will take place on Wednesday 30th March at Leigh Community Centre, with young people under 20 welcome to attend to put their questions to our panel about local issues. The panel is made up of local officials who have knowledge and expertise in a variety of topics affecting young people, including;  

• Stephanie Golder- Incredible Edible and Youth Extinction Rebellion
• Jon Fuller- Climate change and Friends of the Earth
• Cllr Carole Mulroney- Southend City Council - Cabinet Member for Environment, Culture, Tourism and Planning
• Cllr Laurie Burton – Southend City Council - Cabinet Member for Children, Learning and Education
• Mayoress Margaret Borton- Town Ambassador

Cllr Forde who will be hosting the event, is passionate about young people getting their voices heard and urges young people from Leigh and the surrounding areas to attend for this unique opportunity.

Doors open at 5.30pm for a 6pm start, with free refreshments available.
