Profile

I have lived in Leigh-on-Sea with my family for over 25 years. I worked in the retail industry for many years until I took the time out to look after our children as a "house husband" - quite a novelty back in 1992. With both boys at school I started as a midday assistant at a local primary school and went on to train as a Teaching Assistant and then a Specialist Teaching Assistant before taking on the role of I.T. Technician at the school. I continued working in local education for several years. 

In my spare time I enjoy reading and have a particular interest in world war history and, in an attempt to keep fit, I have recently taken up walking football. 

I served as a Special Constable for Essex Police for 15 years, stationed at Leigh Police Station, before retiring in 2012. I am now looking forward to continuing to support our local community as a member of the Town Council.
