Born and bred in Southend, I have lived in Leigh all my adult life.  Living in Marine Parade, I am a widow with 2 children and 5 grandchildren.

A part of the Mayor's Charity for 6 years, I am a volunteer at St. Aidan's Church where I was Church Secretary for 14 years.  Now retired, I worked at Westcliff High School for Girls for 19 years as Finance and Personnel Officer.
