Education and education experience

My degrees are BA, MA, PGCE (Oxon).  I am a trained in Mental Health and a certified Counsellor.  I am Mental Health Lead, Chaplain and a teacher at a local high school.

Polictical and business experience

UK - I have been a Member of the Conservative Party since 1983 and was active in the Long Wittenham ward in Wantage parliamentary constituency, South Oxfordshire, where my husband was Chairman.  More recently I have been actively involved with teh Conservative Party in Essex, supporting the work of the late Sir David Amess.

Objectives as a Member of Leigh-on-Sea Council

To use evident people skills in assisting the Chairman to build a cohesive team of councillors, thereby restoring a relevant LTC with strong and integrated leadership.

To propose creative LTC initiatives to further the interests of Leigh citizens, both short and longer term, particularly early wins to build momentum fast - projects that can be tackled quickly and produce tangible financial and other benefits for all stakeholders.

To participate fully in the identification, planning and execution of such initiatives, and to provide support for the Chairman in all his undertakings at LTC.
